Chestnuts, layered with apricots and lamb. (Scrumptious !)(Azerbaijan)
It is not December. It is not Christmas. It is not an appearance of the legendary Nat King Cole. But have you ever given any thought to the value of chestnuts? It is a good source of antioxidants, rich in garlic and ellagic acid, when cooked. (WebMD).
You may not like lamb, but when cooked with apricots and chestnuts, I am told the impact on your taste buds is like an out of body experience.
Baltimore’s own, CYRUS CHESTNUT
In Baltimore Maryland, that taste can be experienced by succumbing to a musical bath from a human chestnut, CYRUS CHESTNUT.
Born in Baltimore, and showed musical prowess as a child prodigy, that took him to colleges in Boston and Baltimore, finally ending up as a professor at nearby Howard University, Washington D.C.
This chestnut was roasting others in his birth month of January, at Keystone Corner. www.theculturepage.com was there:
